The WWC Kid’s Club provides instruction and competition options for wrestlers ages 4 and up. During the winter folkstyle season, the club is open to all kids through middle school. You do not have to go to Williamston schools to be apart of the club, we are open to all kids in the area. The focus is on instruction and competition in the MYWAY wrestling association MMWA and are an affiliate of the Central Region.
Club practices for beginners will be Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 until Christmas break and 5:30-6:30 after Christmas break. Intermediate and advanced practices will be Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00. We will have a high intensity “Angry Hornet” practice on Fridays for advanced wrestlers by invitation only. We will place wrestlers the first week of practice.
Following the folkstyle season, the emphasis moves primarily to middle school through high school kids and the USA Wrestling Freestyle and Greco-Roman season. These Olympic styles can qualify athletes for competition at the national and international levels.
