CAAC Red/White Championship- Battle for the Belt Conference Tournament

On Saturday February 8th, Williamston Hosted The Inaugural CAAC Championship- Battle for the Belt tournament (click to enter TrachWrestling event) between the Red and White Divisions (Championship Belt shown above)

Williamston only entered 6 wrestlers but they all ended up all conference and tournament placers.  They were,

  • Jack Chambers – 103 lb – 3rd Place- 2nd in Division

  • Ryker Johnecheck- 125 lb – 2nd Place- 1st in Division

  • Calvin Kittendorf- 130 lb- 3rd Place- 3rd in Division

  • Luke Mahaney- 135 lb- 1st Place- 1st in Division

  • Jared Bloom- 140 lb- 3rd Place- 1st in Division

  • Joey Mahaney- 145 lb- 5th Place- 3rd in Division

Williamston Finished 6th place overall in the Tournament with 95.0 team points.  Mason and Eaton Rapids tied for 1st place with 181.0 points each.  Overall team scores are below.

As for the overall Divisional Final rankings, Williamston finished 3rd in the Red.  The divisional conference champion is calculated with half of their conference score is calculated from the final team results from conference duals and half is calculated from the tournament placing.  Conference Divisional Results below.

1st Place- Mason- 6 + 6 = 12

2nd Place- St. Johns- 5 + 5 = 10

3rd Place- Williamston- 4 + 4 = 8

4th Place- Eastern- 4 + 3 = 7

5th Place- Fowlerville- 4 + 2 = 6

6th Place- Haslett- 1 + 1 = 2

White Division-

1st Place- Eaton Rapids- 5 + 5 = 10

Tied 2nd Place- Charlotte- 4 + 3 = 7

Tied 2nd Place- Portland- 3 + 4 = 7

4th Place- Ionia- 2 + 2 = 4

5th Place- Sexton- 1 + 1 = 2

    Not as good as being there; however I do enjoy getting the results of the matches and tournaments. I will be cheering from Denver.
